 Charles d. king...

Charles D. King Jr. is an indie recording artist, singersongwriter and record producer. Born and raised in Macon, Georgia, Charles has been involved in ministry & music since the age of 9. Charles started his company MUSIC BY KING in 2012 and released two underground albums (As I AM [2012], Frontline [2013]). At that time, his ministry and music gained the attention of BET Gospel Network and he was requested to perform at the 2014 BET Celebration of Gospel Prayer Breakfast. His electrifying performance earned him much critical acclaim among gospel music execs and artists as an emerging artist

Since that time, Charles D. King’s multicultural appeal has placed him on platforms such as: The Bobby Jones Gospel Show and Joyful Noise (hosts, Tye Tribbett & Willie Moore Jr.) and being named GMA’s (Gospel Music Association) Male Artist/Writer of the Year (2017). Charles’ vision is to bridge generations and cultures; using his gift of music and art to unify and expand the Kingdom of God.

Charles D. King released his debut live album in September of 2019. Recorded in his hometown (Macon, GA) on a stage that soul music legends: James Brown, Otis Redding and Little Richard have played, Charles made his mark as the first gospel artist to record an album at The Douglass Theatre.
